Harlow James delivers another slice of Blossom Peak perfection with Test of Time, an emotional powerhouse that balances grace, humor, and scorching spice. This third installment in the series focuses on Rhonan Hart, the town’s dependable sheriff and a widowed single father who has spent years resigned to a life of work and devotion to his daughter, Ellis.
His quiet existence is upended during a rare night out when he encounters Vienna, a newcomer who makes a lasting impression through a series of endearing, clumsy mishaps. Though their initial connection leaves Rhonan feeling ghosted, fate intervenes when he discovers she is not only his new neighbor but also his daughter's teacher.
The story is brought to life through a spectacular duet narration by Aiden Snow and Ava Erickson, who capture the palpable tension and slow-burn attraction of the "single dad next door" trope. Aiden Snow perfectly embodies Rhonan’s protective, somewhat grumpy exterior, gradually softening his performance as the character begins to shed five years of grief and anxiety.
Complementing him beautifully, Ava Erickson voices Vienna with a sweet, empathetic softness that highlights her independence and resilience as she seeks a fresh start away from a controlling past.
