About Britt Reign
Hello my loves, welcome to my author page.
Outside of my dogs, writing has become a sanctuary for me over the last two years, and I have been blessed to write these stories in my spare time whenever inspiration and creativity sparks inside me.
Chokehold was my debut novel, an angsty love triangle - a woman on a journey of finding herself, while her heart is torn between her best friend who has always felt like home, and the new love interest who sets her soul on fire and encourages to reach outside of her comfort zone.
BloodSport is the follow up to Chokehold, the man who doesn't keep her heart in the first book finding love after heartbreak with a woman on the run from an abusive ex-husband.
I have also written Will You Levitate and Under The Surface I See- both poetry works on self love, grief, loss, finding yourself, navigating toxic relationships, difficult relationships, divorce, and trying to find the light in the dark.
I am also published in several poetry anthologies - Shadow Work Volume 1 and Volume 2, Grey Coven Publishing and Roots and Ruins, Arcana Poetry Press.
Forevermore is my newest love, a paranormal romance, where love stands the test of time, and heavily navigates grief.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading my work. I pour my entire heart and soul into these. <3
My Thoughts
Britt Reign delivers an intense, emotionally charged sequel in Bloodsport, a gripping continuation of the world she introduced in Chokehold. Narrated brilliantly in duet by Aiden Snow and Skye Lark, this story kept me hooked from start to finish, seamlessly blending slow-burn romance, suspense, and raw vulnerability.
Bloodsport is a powerful romance rooted in resilience, following the journey of Sloan Archer, a survivor haunted by her past. After running for a year and constantly looking over her shoulder, Sloan attempts to build a new life in Pittsburgh by putting down roots and forming a group of friends. Watching her navigate her trauma while striving to become a better version of herself was both heartbreaking and empowering.
Her biggest mistake, perhaps, was falling for the local MMA fighter, Beckett Scott. Beck, an MMA fighter with a soft heart and fierce loyalty who is also healing from a broken heart and navigating his career, is the perfect complement to Sloan's guarded strength. The relationship between Sloan and Beck builds on beloved tropes—friends to lovers, forced proximity, and slow burn. While their bond is compelling, I did wish for a few more moments of emotional buildup before the romantic shift occurred, allowing their connection to pack an even greater punch.
Reign handles the sensitive themes of domestic violence and healing with care and respect, giving crucial space to Sloan’s recovery without letting her past define her entirely. The narrative tension escalates when a series of notes and bloody roses begin appearing, signaling that the obsession of Dr. James McAllister—who claimed Sloan the moment he laid eyes on her—has finally caught up to her. This added suspense keeps the stakes high and the pages turning as Sloan fights to survive an inescapable danger. I particularly enjoyed seeing karma collect from the creepy and truly obsessed Dr. McAllister.
Ultimately, Bloodsport is a messy, dark, and beautiful collision of a love that wasn't supposed to happen and raw vulnerability. When Sloan and Beck finally give in to their passion, the result is explosive and undeniably steamy, with Sloan fully embracing the heat. It is a deeply emotional story about finding your inner warrior and discovering a love you didn't even know you were looking for.
This strong second installment shows growth in both storytelling and emotional depth, blending heart, heat, and suspense in a way that is sure to resonate with romance readers who love characters with grit and a story with teeth. The duet performance by Aiden Snow and Skye Lark perfectly conveyed the necessary emotional intensity of this gripping tale.
