As one of my most anticipated releases, this audiobook plunges listeners back into Viola's dark and dangerous world, and it does not disappoint.
From the first chapter, the audiobook grabs you and refuses to let go. Fox masterfully weaves a tale that is as action-packed and intoxicating as it is intense and sexy. The tagline "Lust fuels the worst evil. Love is overrated. Killing for retribution is everything I've ever wanted..." sets the perfect tone for the journey ahead. Viola is back with her enigmatic "boys," and while some burning questions from book one are satisfyingly answered, new layers of mystery are introduced, keeping you guessing at every turn.
What truly sets A Legacy of Sorrows apart is its unpredictability. Just when I thought I had a handle on the plot, a sudden twist would completely derail my theories, sending the narrative in a direction I never could have foreseen. This constant element of surprise kept me on the absolute edge of my seat from beginning to end.
Hannah Hedley and Lucas Webley's narration is stellar, perfectly capturing the dark, cruel, and at times, callous atmosphere of the story.
