Once again Jude has swept me into a world of love, hate, and beauty with a simple flick of her pen.
Book Description
England's most valiant knights paid court to wealthy Liana Neville, but only the infamous warrior Rogan Peregrine made no secret of his powerful desires. His very caress melted Liana into liquid fire, and she vowed to capture this manificent, wild man. Boldly the delicate beauty gave him her hand -- and Britain's richest dower. Yet he was bound to a bitter feud: for love betrayed, brothers killed, and ancestral land usurped. In Rogan's war-ravaged castle, Liana would lay her tender seige...to redeem his embattled spirit and win his untamed heart!

Once again, Jude has swept me into a world of love, hate, and beauty with a simple flick of her pen. If you know me by my reviews or blog, then you know I'm a huge fan of Jude Deveraux. She has this magical way of sweeping me into a story and keeping me there until the end.
Liana has always had her way. Her father allowed her to run his estate without many rules. She enjoyed freedom till her father married and her stepmother wanted to be in control. Liana knows she needs to marry and leave the only home she knows but she wants to marry a man of her choosing one who wants her and not just her money. When she meets Rogan down by the water she thinks she has found that man but she soon realizes he wants only her money to wage war on his enemy. Can Liana teach her new husband to love or will she be doomed to a life of hatred and loneliness?
I enjoyed this book so much. I loved how strong Liana was and how she held her own against Rogan. It was so much fun seeing how Liana used her strength not just as a woman but as someone who could run the estate to show her husband how good life could be. Watching Rogan learn to love and even begin to soften was pure magic. These two characters not only fought with passion but also loved it.
Such a beautifully written story by Jude.
