My Thoughts

In book 2 of the Byrne Brothers series, we meet the gorgeous Keir. though with any good series, this book can be read as a stand-alone but is more fun as part of the series.

Keir is the strong silent type not so much because he is aloof but because when he lets his temper loose the words from his head to his mouth get mixed up. But from the moment he meets Rowan, she has pushed all his buttons. So much so that trying to talk to her gets him more frustrated than he ever thought possible. Add to that his attraction to her and the fact he knows she is hiding something awful from her past. Can keir protect her while falling for her and can he discover her secret before it's too late?

Rowan has always been the perfect daughter she had to be. She did something terrible when she was young and needs to make up for it. She works hard to be perfect and not let emotions rule her that is till the night she meets Keir. He has this way of making her want things she knows she can't or shouldn't want. How can she let him in when she knows what a terrible person she is? But the more time she spends with Keir the more she wants to tell him her story but if she does will he still want her?

I admit I was rooting for these two. I loved how protective Keir was and how vulnerable Rowan was at times. These two were the perfect pairing the right combination of strong and vulnerable which made them both strong when together. I enjoyed seeing how calm Keir could be to soothe Rowan. This book had everything from a crazy ex to a hot spicy love. I must say I am enjoying this series way more than I thought I would.
