Book Description

Forsaken by her guardian and narrowly escaping marriage to a money-hungry suitor, Regan flees Weston Manor, the only home she’s ever known, determined to rule her own destiny. When Travis Stanford, a big, rugged American, finds Regan on London’s docks, he vows to protect her -- unaware of the magnificent, iron-willed beauty she would become, or the dangerous, passion-filled future that awaited them both. From England’s bawdy wharves to Virginia’s elegant mansions, their love was kindled by chance, and flamed by the thrilling pursuit of unknown tomorrows.

About Jude Deveraux

Jude Deveraux is the author of historical and contemporary women's fiction featuring women of strong character and gorgeous, exciting men. My Thoughts

By now you know I am a huge Jude Deveraux fan. Reading her books is like going home. She creates characters and places that you want to revisit over and over.

In Lost Lady, we meet Regan a woman who has had her entire life run by her guardian. When she flees her home determined to run her own life she never dreams she will run into an American who vows to protect her.

When Travis finds Regan on the streets of Virginia fleeing for her life he vows to protect her even if it means protecting her from herself. He never dreamed that this tiny slip of a girl would turn his life upside down. However, he is determined to protect and love her at any cost.

I love Travis and Regan because, for as much as Travis wants to protect Regan, she is just as determined to run her own life. Watching Regan grow and blossom into a self-sufficient woman was such a joy. I also love that Travis pretty much does everything in his power to woe her.

This story is full of love, laughter, and romance for all time. It is another wonderful story by Jude and I love the characters so much.
