Book Description
Maybe some rules are meant to be broken.
John
As a dom at club Pulse, I know rules are important to keep a submissive safe. As a professor at Faith Union College, I know rules keep order in my classroom.
I don’t sleep with submissives and I don’t get involved with students.
But all my rules go out the window when I see my new sub walk into my classroom. Everyone has secrets, including me, but mine are the only thing keeping me from truly claiming her as my own.
Emma
Being around men is hard for me given my past, but when a friend recommends someone who can help with my aversion to touch, I don’t expect my new dom to be so good at it.
I especially don’t expect to fall for him so completely.
Even though he always wears a mask, I see who he is at his core. With so many obstacles standing in our way, can I convince him that I’m more important than all his broken rules?
All His Broken Rules is book 3 in the Broken Series and follows Emma and Professor A-hole in this forbidden professor/student romance.

About Mya More
With a background in theatre, film, and education, Mya has always had a passion for storytelling. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and children, working a nonromantic job by day while writing romance at night. Her books are contemporary romance with more love, more spice, and more HEAs. When she's not writing, she enjoys reading, singing karaoke, playing mermaids in the pool, and doing puzzles.
My Thought
All His Broken Rules by Mya More, the third installment in The Broken Series, is an incredibly layered romance that grabbed me from the very first page. Featuring a stellar multi-cast narration by Jason Clarke, CJ Bloom, Samantha Brentmoor, and Logan Prince, this age-gap, forbidden romance manages to be both scorching hot and deeply moving, balancing intense BDSM themes with a raw, realistic journey of healing.
The story introduces us to John, a theater professor at Faith Union College who also leads a secret double life as a "Daddy Dom" at the exclusive club Pulse. John is a man of rigid principles: he maintains order in his classroom and safety at the club by strictly separating his identities and refusing to involve himself with students or submissives. However, his discipline crumbles when Emma, one of his own students, arrives at the club seeking help for her severe aversion to touch. Emma is a character of pure sunshine and resilience who is struggling to move past deep-seated childhood trauma. When she begins working with her masked "Daddy Dom," she finds herself finally able to accept touch, unaware that the man helping her heal is the same professor she encounters in the classroom.
The tension of this setup is masterful. As a reader, knowing the identity secret while waiting for Emma to uncover it kept me absolutely hooked. The slow burn is agonizing in the best way, with John falling deeper into a protective, obsessive love while desperately trying to keep his worlds from colliding. Watching their relationship evolve from a controlled power dynamic into a soul-deep connection is profoundly satisfying. Emma’s growth is earned and realistic; rather than being rushed, her journey of rebuilding trust, boundaries, and confidence unfolds over a significant period, making her eventual empowerment feel incredibly earned.
The book excels at tackling heavy themes—trauma, vulnerability, and control—without ever feeling performative or romanticized. It feels deeply human, especially as John and Emma navigate the complications of their forbidden connection. When the truth finally comes out, the emotional fallout is devastating, yet the story is punctuated by unexpected twists that shift the narrative in ways I never saw coming. The spice is expertly placed, serving the emotional arc of the characters rather than existing solely for shock value.
All His Broken Rules is a perfect blend of taboo tension and tender, emotional payoff. With its fantastic found-family dynamic, excellent narration, and a beautiful Happily Ever After that feels truly hard-won, this book is an essential read for anyone who loves an intense romance that packs a genuine emotional punch.
