My Forever Girl by Laura Pavlov is an absolute masterpiece of small-town, friends-to-lovers romance that officially cements her status as one of my favorite authors. As a longtime fan who was already obsessed with the world of Magnolia Falls, I was completely hooked from the very first page of this incredible second-generation story, which beautifully kicks off the new Blue Sky Bay series.
Having loved Cutler, affectionately known as "Beefcake," since he was first introduced, finding out that he has quietly loved his childhood best friend Gracie for years gave me all the feelings. The history and genuine, comforting bond they share make their romance feel deeply real and layered.
After Gracie returns from living across the world and moves into Cutler's place to figure out her next steps, the slow-building emotional payoff, angst, and swoony chemistry become utterly addictive. When she proposes a temporary arrangement, it sparks a full-on, sweat-inducing detour that neither of them ever expected.
Adult Beefcake absolutely lives up to the hype. Watching him realize Gracie has always been the one and seeing him fight for their forever will have you smiling nonstop.
