Book Description
A British single dad living in America. Four kids who need stability. A nanny looking for a new home. The thirteenth book in the Hot Brits series is coming in November!
Then the nanny agency calls with brilliant news. They’ve found someone to care for my kids.
Unfortunately, Jennifer Cordell is beautiful and sexy, and I haven’t had sex in years. Yes, that’s right—years. My children adore her immediately, which means I can’t send her packing.
I have a feeling the Murgatroyd family is about to get even wilder.
One Hot Daddy is the thirteenth book in the Hot Brits series of romantic comedy.
About Anna Durand
Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that’s the boring spiel. Here are some really cool things you want to know about Anna!
Born on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Anna grew up moving here, there, and everywhere thanks to her dad’s job as an instructor pilot. She’s lived in Texas (twice), Mississippi, California (twice), Michigan (twice), and Alaska—and now Ohio.
As for her writing, Anna has always invented stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Those first awful books went into the trash can a few years later, though she learned a lot from those stories. Eventually, she would pen her first romance novel, the paranormal romance Willpower, and she’s never looked back since.
My Thoughts
Anna Durand delivers a steamy, heartfelt, and delightfully fun addition to the Hot Brits series with One Hot Daddy. This thirteenth installment follows Fletcher, a British single father living in America who is struggling to balance his role as a hotel general manager with the chaotic demands of raising four children alone. After his wife’s departure, Fletcher has cycled through several nannies who couldn’t handle the pressure, leaving him skeptical when Jennifer Cordell arrives for an interview.
Jennifer is far from intimidated; she is a confident "gem" who immediately connects with the children, providing them with the stability and affection they’ve been missing. She serves as the much-needed calm in Fletcher’s whirlwind life, winning over the kids with a balance of firm respect and genuine love. It is incredibly endearing to see Fletcher’s devotion to his family shine through, making him a hero that is easy to root for from the very first page.
The chemistry between Fletcher and Jennifer is instantaneous and undeniable. While Jennifer initially tries to maintain a professional distance, the attraction quickly reaches a boiling point. It is refreshing to see a heroine who knows what she wants without making excuses, and the couple doesn’t wait long to give in to their feelings. The story truly sparkles when the American Wives Club arrives in Nebraska to help Fletcher rediscover his fun-loving side, adding an extra layer of humor and charm to the plot.
The audiobook experience is elevated by the fantastic dual narration of John Hartley and Celia Stone. Hartley perfectly captures Fletcher’s initial sense of exhaustion, transitioning smoothly into his growing vulnerability and desire. Stone is equally impressive, portraying Jennifer with a blend of maternal warmth and confident sensuality.
Together, they bring this flirty, high-energy rom-com to life, making it a fabulous listen for fans of the series. With a perfect ending and the delightful presence of the wider "Hot Brits" family, this story is a highly recommended treat for anyone who loves a well-executed single dad romance.
