Book Description
When my ex leaves me and my little girl penniless, the last person I expect to step in is my childhood sweetheart, Vander Moore.
It's been years since he walked out of my life, and now he's barreling back into it, seeking redemption, and making me an offer I can't refuse--to become his new assistant.
But everything has changed, including him. The broody, sinfully hot bad boy CEO doesn't trust anyone. Especially me.
It isn't long before we're butting heads and fighting at every turn.
He’s a walking red flag. One I need to stay far away from.
Except when life throws me yet another curveball and my daughter and I are forced to move in with him, I start to see the man behind the mask.
And all the tension and heat we've been resisting ignites, consuming us both.
But with each forbidden touch and toe-curling encounter, I give him another piece of my heart.
He says he'll do whatever it takes to keep me and my daughter safe. Even if it costs him everything.
But there are some things even this undeniably corrupt man can't hack his way out of. And it's coming for all of us.
About J. Saman
J. Saman is a USA Today and Amazon top 10 bestselling author who writes sassy, swoony, and scorching contemporary romances. She is addicted to Diet Coke, sour candy, and indie rock. She swears way too much (especially after a glass of wine) and has a penchant for sarcasm (or so her husband and children like to tell her).
J. is an admitted lover of second chance romances, enemies to lovers, and the perfect amount of angst. She is best known for writing funny and emotional romances filled with smart, strong women, and sexy alphas who have a softer side - especially for their women.
My Thoughts
J. Saman's Undeniably Corrupt is a breathtaking second-chance romance that will leave you absolutely consumed. Narrated by the supremely talented duo of Connor Crais and Stella Hunter, this audiobook is a masterclass in chemistry and tension. While it's part of a series, I had no trouble jumping right in, and you won't either.
When Liora finds herself and her little girl penniless, the last person she expects to come to her rescue is her childhood sweetheart, Vander Moore. He walked out of her life years ago, but now he's back, a brooding and sinfully hot CEO, offering her a job as his assistant. As they butt heads and fight at every turn, Liora tells herself to stay away from the walking red flag. But when a new curveball forces them to move in together, she starts to see the man behind the mask. The tension and heat they've been resisting ignite, and with every forbidden touch, Liora gives him another piece of her heart.
Vander and Liora's story is the perfect blend of first love and a second chance at forever. He's a wicked-smart, sarcastic guy who fiercely protects the people he cares about at any cost. When Liora re-enters his life, his possessive and kinky side comes out to play, guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat.
Liora is his perfect match. She's quick-witted, fiercely independent, and just as stubborn and secretive as he is. As a single mom, she’s determined to do whatever it takes for her daughter, Hazel. She tries to convince herself that Vander is in the past, but he was her first everything, and he's determined to be her last.
Their banter is laugh-out-loud funny, and their passion is next level. The way Vander fights for them and Liora fights to protect him will have your heart swooning. Undeniably Corrupt has all the angst, heartache, and sizzling chemistry you could ever want in a romance.
Connor Crais and Stella Hunter are a dream team. Connor is the perfect Vander, embodying his cocky confidence and underlying vulnerability, while Stella brings Liora to life with a perfect blend of strength and emotion. Together, their performances are nothing short of brilliant.
This story is full of angst and heartache, but it is all so worth it in the end. It's the perfect autumn listen—just be warned, the heat coming off this audiobook is enough to keep you toasty without a blanket or fireplace!
