Rolling 75, written by Brandy Hynes and narrated by the talented duo of Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis, is the perfect start to the Noire Brothers series.
Book Description
La Lune Noire has a pulse. It rules apart from its owners.
Backroom deals and electro swing. Extravagant parties and bootlegger tunnels.
The walls have secrets. The doors have codes.
Ashes and lies. White oak and screams. Champagne and delusions.
Hope is the gateway to hell.
Ryker
The house always wins.
Unless it’s concerning Mercy Phillips.
My brothers and I own La Lune Noire, a resort and casino that caters to the criminal underworld.
To them, we’re kings.
To her, I’m the friend she left behind.
Some say absence makes the heart grow fonder. For me, it bred obsession.
Three years searching.
One offer she can’t refuse.
Countless rolls of possibilities.
Cognac. Contracts. Coming home.
And someone lurking in the shadows, playing us all.
But the house will win again. She’s always been mine.
Mercy
That’s not even my name anymore. Much less who I am.
Other than my precious baby boy, only shards remain of that girl.
Scars from a monster.
Until Ryker Noire—my best friend and a reminder of the worst night of my life—breezes into town with a tempting proposition.
Three years running.
One haunting phone call.
Countless reasons to stay away.
But the choice isn’t mine. What a Noire wants, a Noire gets.
No matter the battle, hope is the last thing to die.
About Brandy Hynes
Brandy Hynes is the author of steamy, suspenseful dark romance stories. Her specialty is irresistible, morally gray men and the sassy heroines who make them melt. No matter what chaos ensues, her antiheroes and their fierce leading ladies claw their way through rubble to reach a happily ever after.
Brandy lives where the sun is always shining with her family, who is the light of her life, and marvels at how the most beautiful treasures often bloom in the dark. Other than writing, her ideal destination is either lost in a book or poolside with her favorite people.
My Thoughts
Rolling 75, written by Brandy Hynes and narrated by the talented duo of Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis, is the perfect start to the Noire Brothers series.
From the moment I started, I was utterly captivated. We've seen glimpses of Ryker from the KORT series, and finally getting his and Mercy's story was everything I needed. Their love story is a second chance, but it's fueled by obsession, loss, and a hope that refuses to die.
Ryker Noire is the definition of a possessive and determined hero. He has been searching for Mercy for three years after she was forced to go into hiding to escape an abusive past. His love for her is a mix of gentle affection and fierce dominance, and his internal struggle is a powerful and emotional journey. Mercy, on the other hand, is a wonderfully strong-willed survivor who has been through hell but refuses to lose her fire. The chemistry between them is electric and completely undeniable.
Brandy Hynes's writing is a true masterclass. The plot flows seamlessly, full of intricate details and "Easter eggs" that keep you guessing. The banter is sharp, the spicy scenes are hot, and the emotional depth is truly breathtaking. I found myself howling with laughter one moment and completely undone by the raw, healing love in the next. The narration by Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis is equally brilliant, bringing these complex characters and their world to life.
This is a story about the messy, stubborn kind of hope. It's about finding love after loss and daring to believe it can save you. Rolling 75 has it all: pining, angst, found family, and a love story so beautiful and intense that it will live rent-free in your head. I'm officially obsessed with Brandy Hynes and cannot wait to see what she writes next.
