Book Description
His name is Jack… but I’m the real ripper.
Jaxon Clémont knows who I am. Why else would a monster leave petals like breadcrumbs? Send love letters straight from hell? He’s stalking me, taunting me, chasing me into the darkness. He knows where I sleep, eat, and even where I live. He’s a brilliant surgeon and a billionaire, untouchable in every way, with a soul-sucking gaze and a predatory smile. And he knows my deep, dark secret.
But I won’t go softly into the night.
Jaxon might be my weakness with a beautiful face and a divine mission who can cut my heart open with just one look and rip me apart with only a word—but I’m not another of his victims.
I won’t fall for his deviant charms.
I’m the real ripper, and I’m going to make him pay.
About Mallory Fox
Mallory Fox is a USA Today best-selling author who loves to write deliciously dark romance with heart and stories that have wicked, twisty plots, tainted-love, and all kinds of angsty redemption.
Mallory/Lea is addicted to canines, chocolate-covered pretzels, and lives in London with her bean-shaped dog and the rest of her non-furry family. When she's not at her Mac writing up a storm, she's walking her overgrown cocker spaniel or trying to learn how to cook, badly.

My Thoughts
What’s darker than a dark romance? Mallory Fox’s From Hell is the answer. This book isn't just morally grey; it's a descent into a whole other level of darkness, and it was a journey I completely enjoyed. Brilliantly narrated by the talented duo of Evelyn Rose and Shane East, this modern Jack the Ripper retelling is a wild, psychotic, and utterly captivating thriller.
The story ignites a twisted game of cat and mouse from the very first page. Jaxon Clémont is a brilliant billionaire surgeon who stalks our main character, Laine, leaving a trail of petals and love letters straight from hell. He knows her deepest secrets and is relentlessly taunting her. But Laine is no ordinary victim. Years ago, she survived an attack by "The Ripper," and now she’s hunting for revenge. With a dark secret of her own, she is not his prey—she is the real ripper, and she’s determined to make him pay.
This book was a crazy ride from beginning to end, keeping me on pins and needles. The characters are deliciously dark, with believable motivations that push the limits of morality. While I spotted some twists early on, Mallory Fox masterfully weaves in red herrings that had me questioning everything I thought I knew. The story is fraught with suspense, and the steam level is so intense that a simple chili-pepper rating couldn't possibly do it justice.
The narration by Evelyn Rose and Shane East was simply phenomenal, perfectly capturing the psychotic energy and raw tension between the two leads. While some side characters felt less developed, it didn't detract from the core story of these two villains finding each other.
From Hell was easily one of the best and most fascinating reads of the year for me. However, this journey is not for the faint of heart. Please, be sure to heed the extensive trigger warnings before diving in. If you are a fan of dark erotica and love a story where the villains get each other, open these pages—if you dare.
