About Anna Durand

Anna Durand is a bestselling, multi-award-winning author of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her books have earned bestseller status on every major retailer and wonderful reviews from readers around the world. But that's the boring spiel. Here are the really cool things you want to know about Anna!

Born on Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, Anna grew up moving here, there, and everywhere thanks to her dad's job as an instructor pilot. She's lived in Texas (twice), Mississippi, California (twice), Michigan (twice), and Alaska—and now Ohio.

As for her writing, Anna has always made up stories in her head, but she didn’t write them down until her teen years. Those first awful books went into the trash can a few years later, though she learned a lot from those stories. Eventually, she would pen her first romance novel, the paranormal romance Willpower, and she’s never looked back since.

My Thoughts

Anna Durand's Fastball Fever is a fun, fast-paced baseball romance that kicks off the All-American Men series with a unique twist: the story is told exclusively from the male perspective. This narrative choice gives readers an amazing, true-to-life look into the hero's mind.

The story follows injured pitcher Charlie Braddock, who fears his career is over. When a tough, sexy new coach, Amy Keller, is hired to whip him into shape, their professional relationship quickly develops into a taboo attraction. Charlie’s journey to overcome his injury and learn to believe in himself is compelling, and the author skillfully weaves in a thread of suspense and a surprising betrayal that will shock you.

The audiobook experience is elevated by narrator Corvin King. His unique, raspy voice is a perfect fit for Charlie, and he delivers a performance full of raw emotion, switching between characters with ease.

While some of the logistics around the antagonist felt a bit confusing at times, the emotional core of the story and the fantastic narration make this a standout listen. It’s an amazing start to a new series that I can't wait to continue.
