Enter Denver Layne: a six-foot-something, ex-special forces wall of brooding muscle assigned as her bodyguard. He’s the grumpy to her sunshine, the storm cloud to her bright day. He lives by a strict set of rules, and Sinclair, feeling trapped, makes it her personal mission to break every single one. What starts as a battle of wills, full of sharp banter and defiance, quickly ignites into something more. The chemistry between these two is an inferno. Their forced proximity leads to moments of explosive passion that will leave you breathless.
The narration is an absolute standout. Madison Mitts perfectly captures Sinclair’s vibrant and defiant spirit, while Theodore Zephyr’s deep, gravelly voice is Denver Layne. They bring an incredible energy and tension to the performance, making the characters feel intensely real. Their vocal artistry is so distinct, you’ll be completely immersed in this new couple’s story.
Elle Nicoll writes book boyfriends that are simply next level—total husband material. If you love a grumpy/sunshine dynamic, sizzling forbidden romance, and a story you won’t be able to pause, you need this audiobook. It’s a five-star listen, hands down.
