My Thoughts
Rocco is the final installment of Sarah Castille's Mafia romance series. Though it can be read as a stand-alone, I enjoyed it as a series. Rocco is a mafia enforcer, and he is one of the best. Adopted at age 10, he is raised by the De Lucchi family, a ruthless and uncaring family. However, Rocco has a secret he has carried with him for years: He once loved the beautiful Mafia princess Grace Mantini. Forced by his father to give her up Rocco swore he never open his heart again until he sees Grace at a funeral. Rocco is stunned by how much he still loves hers but is he willing to risk her life and his to have the one woman he has loved for a lifetime?
Grace ran from her family years ago as a young girl. She couldn't handle the life her father led nor the life her boyfriend Rocco led. Now years later she has reunited with her family and with it walked right back into Rocco life's. This time however Ggrace is stronger and more sure of herself and her love for Rocco. But is she strong enough to endure the life of a Mafia princess and to fight for her one true love?
This book was so good. there were several good plot twists and I so love Rocco. Just like the other men in this mafia family Rocco was protective of the woman he loved but he was also scared and flawed. I just wanted to heal him so badly.
Grace is strong, though you don't notice right away that she is tough. She has endured so much only to learn to come back stronger. I loved her and Rocco together; she was the light in his darkness. I enjoyed watching these two people navigate their feelings and their lives to be together.
The story was brilliantly written with lots of spicy scenes to set off the fire alarms. Overall the perfect ending to this series.
