Book Description

*Healing the Broken contains traumatic story elements that may be triggering for some readers.*

Monsters didn't just exist in nightmares.

They were real; they lived among us.
As the sole witness to a brutal murder, Ryann Sinclair knew that better than anyone.

He'd been burned once, and Cash Donovan swore it was the last time.

That all changed when Ryann stumbled back into his life.

She was fiercely protective of her heart, and he was hell-bent on protecting her.

Never one to back down from a challenge, Cash was determined to break her.
Just so he could be the one to put her back together.

About K. Street

K. Street has been making up stories since she was old enough to talk and began writing at the tender age of eleven. She resides in central Florida with her husband and daughter, as well as a tiny menagerie of pets; including a dog, a cat, and a bearded dragon. When she isn’t plotting her next story K enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, chatting with her readers, and cheering on her favorite hockey team, the Chicago Blackhawks.

My Thoughts

I picked up this book on a recommendation from a friend. I am glad I did.

The story was twisted and heartbreaking, but it had a thread of hope. It starts with a horrifying beginning that breaks my heart. As it progresses, the story becomes hopeful, only to be thrown a huge twist at the end. It reads like a great TV or movie script, where you feel the hero will recuse the heroine only to be thrown a huge curve ball at the end.

The author did a wonderful job keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout the book. I loved the characters so much that I couldn't help but root for their happy ending.

Our hero was loyal, loving, and supportive. He was everything you could want in a hero in a book. He was ready to slay any demons that would harm the love of his life. He was the perfect man the one we all dream of when we dive into a book.

Our heroine is beautiful, flawed, and broken but strong and independent. Though she is broken and needs recusing she is also strong and capable. So many times I wanted to wrap my arms around her she was hurting so much.

This story not only kept me turning the page and wanting more but it also gave me an ending that was soul-satisfying. This book was one of the best I've read this year and it will be hard to to
