I am still working on my goal to read all of Jude's boo over the next year.

My Thoughts
I read this book some time ago. It's been a while. However, as a huge fan of Jude's, I revisited some of her books and reread them as her writing is timeless.
I was so excited to revisit my old friend Michael Taggart and Samatha Elliot. I loved their story the first time and it was even better the second time reading it from a more adult viewing.
Let me start by saying I understood Samantha more than I did the first time. The first time I read this book she kind of bothered me but reading it this time I understood her. I may even dare say there are parts of her that are part of me. I found myself just wanting to hug her and tell her she was going to be ok. Samantha had a lot of layers to her as she suffered a lot of trauma that went unnoticed for years. So she was broken and I felt Michael was the perfect person to help her.
Michael of course was the kind of guy we all dream of or maybe just me. He was handsome, kind, gentle and ok rich. He got Samantha and was able to help her face her past and overcome her trauma.
What I loved about this book was the layers to the characters as well as an age-old mystery. I also love that we get to see so many of the Tagagrts /Montogermy characters in one place. This story was brilliantly written as are all of Jude's books and the characters are people you can't help but love and want to return to time and time again.
