My Thoughts

This book is the second in a series. I downloaded it with the intention of having a good book to read while relaxing on the balcony of my recent MSC cruise. However, this book was so good I picked it up after my Travel agent training one night to read a few chapters before bed. Instead, I devour the entire book while sitting on my balcony. I didn't even realize the night had passed til I looked up to see the sun rising over the ocean horizon it was that good.

In this book, we meet Brec the second brother in a family of vampires. Much like his older brother Brec has a different look on finding his forever mate. He isn't interested as he remembers what the hunt did to his father and the long line of women who die while his father looked for his mate.

So Brec decided to fake it. He hires Xanthe to pretend to be his forever mate. After all, what could go wrong?

Brec and Xanthe heat up the pages. The attraction between them is hot and they work well together. Tala did a great job bringing us more of this vampire family. I love how she brings the story to life. The characters she creates are interesting and I find myself wanting more. I am excited to see this series continue and can not wait to see what the other brother get up to looking for their mates.

Overall I absolutely loved this book. It had everything I wanted heat, vampires, and everlasting love.
