About G.K. Brady
G.K. Brady is an award-winning author of contemporary romance featuring imperfect characters, hard-earned happily-ever-afters, and plenty of humor, heart, and heat.
Whether her characters are battling it out on the ice, facing danger in a Colorado mountain town, or trying very hard not to fall for the one person they absolutely shouldn’t, G.K. loves creating flawed heroes and heroines with baggage, questionable judgment, and plenty of opportunities to make terrible decisions. Fortunately, she also believes everyone deserves a happily-ever-after—even if they make a spectacular mess of things on the way there.
When she’s not writing contemporary romance, she trades the present day for the past and writes historical fiction under the pen name Griffin Brady.
G.K. is a wife and the proud mom of three grown sons. For fun, she might be reading, traveling, drinking wine, listening to music, or gardening—sometimes all at once. She lives in Colorado with her very patient husband.

My Thoughts
The Fixer by G.K. Brady—brought to life through an engaging duet narration by Victoria Connolly and Ryan Lee Dunlap—is a warm, witty, and deeply satisfying small-town romance that brilliantly blends forced proximity, enemies-to-lovers tension, and a heartfelt journey of self-discovery.
The story follows Joy Holiday, a sharp, fast-paced city girl who traded small-town life behind long ago and never intended to return to the dusty mining town her estranged mother called home. But when she inherits her late mother’s crumbling building and storefront, she is forced to confront the painful past she tried to bury. Eager to demolish the dilapidated structure and get back to her city life as quickly as possible, Joy hires the contractor with the best reputation in Fall River, expecting a straightforward business transaction.
Enter Charlie Hunnicutt, a laid-back hometown boy and passionate preservationist who has spent years painstakingly restoring historic buildings brick by brick. Unbeknownst to Joy, Charlie sees nothing but potential in her mother's old shop, viewing it as a piece of the town's soul worth saving. When Joy sweeps into town in her sleek BMW ready to tear it down, they butt heads immediately, sparking a battle of wills, sharp banter, and intense friction.
As they navigate protective zoning laws, external threats from shady characters trying to undermine Charlie's work, and their own conflicting visions, an undeniable attraction begins to bloom. Beneath Joy's prickly, diva-like exterior lies a vulnerable woman dealing with heavy emotional baggage, while Charlie carries scars from his own past. Through the warmth and kindness of Fall River's tight-knit community—and sweet moments that reveal Joy's softer side, especially her affection for animals—the ice around her heart slowly thaws.
Anchored by Victoria Connolly and Ryan Lee Dunlap’s exceptional duet narration, which brings depth, humor, and wonderful emotional resonance to the audiobook, The Fixer is a delightful opposites-attract romance. It is a heartwarming testament to the power of forgiveness, community, and discovering that sometimes the things we try hardest to tear down are the exact foundations we need to build a future.
