Book Description
Prepare to be swept away by Almost Ravaged, the first book in an all new dark, why choose, college hockey trilogy from bestselling author Abby Millsaps.
They say you never forget your first love.
What they don’t say is how hard it is to move on when he happens to be the trifecta: a brooding hockey player, your brother’s best friend, AND the keeper of your darkest secret.
I spent three years trying to get over Tytus Tremblay, only to slingshot right back into his orbit when we’re reunited at Holt University.
But Tytus isn’t the only man on my radar anymore.
I have a new enemy in the form of Mercer Eden, an arrogant, condescending professor almost twice my age who happens to be my boss. Then there’s his sweet, bashful best friend, Noah Henry, the owner of Evercrisp Orchard.
The pleasure Mercer and Noah offer me—individually, and together—is the primal distraction I live for. It just might be what I need to finally forget my first love and move on with my life.
But then Tytus makes a life-altering choice that affects us all, and one thing becomes abundantly clear: he never plans to let me go.
About Abby Millsaps
Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who's been obsessed with romance since middle school. She's best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance, and prides herself in crafting authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.
When Abby isn't writing she can be found reading, watching Formula 1, attending a Broadway show, riding rollercoasters with her kids, whipping up a batch of buttercream, or cheering for the Cleveland Browns with her dad. She lives in Northeast Ohio with Mr. Abby, their three kids, and a wiggly dachshund pup named Frankie.
My Thoughts
Almost Ravaged by Abby Millsaps is the first book in the Men of Evercrisp Orchard series, launching a dark, forbidden, why choose college hockey trilogy set at Holt University and intertwined with the atmospheric grounds of Evercrisp Orchards. The story just wraps around you with an immersive, slow-burn angst that keeps you turning the pages, delivering off-the-charts chemistry, heat, and drama from the very first chapter.
The narrative follows Sawyer Davies, who shares a tragic and unique history with her twin brother, Atticus, and their foster brother turned hockey player, Tytus Tremblay. After enduring a major family trauma when they were younger, the three separate before reuniting at Holt University. Tytus, the brooding and broken first love who holds the keys to Sawyer's darkest secrets, is completely feral about her, yet he struggles to move past an almost-more-than-friends stage while wrestling with his own timing.
As Sawyer tries to move on from Tytus, her world expands to include two other captivating men: Mercer Eden, an arrogant, dark, sexy, and unapologetically filthy professor who is almost twice her age and happens to be her boss, and Noah Henry, Mercer's sweet, bashful best friend and the melancholy owner of Evercrisp Orchard. While Tytus steps back for a portion of the narrative, Sawyer dives into an undeniable attraction with Mercer and Noah, finding primal distraction, pleasure, and emotional release in their dynamic—individually and together—even as Tytus remains in the back of her mind.
Abby Millsaps expertly crafts a reverse harem where each male character maintains a distinct individual identity, temperament, and backstory rather than blending together. The rich setting, intense exploration of grief, loss, and trauma, and brilliant world-building culminate in a massive, shocking cliffhanger that will leave readers throwing their Kindles and eagerly waiting for the next installment. The entire gripping experience is elevated by the brilliant narration of Amy Hall, Lee Samuels, and Devon Ryder, who completely breathe life into this unforgettable story.
