Book Description
An unlucky witch and her know-it-all nemesis must team up in the first of a new, spicy romantic comedy series from USA Today bestselling author Avery Flynn.
So yeah, my life isn’t the greatest right now, but then it goes straight to the absolute worst hell when I accidentally make my sister’s spell glitch and curse my whole family. And the only person who can help non-magical me break the spell? You guessed it. Gil the super hot jerk.
Now we have to work together to save my family and outmaneuver some evil-minded nefarious forces bent on world domination. Oh yeah, and we have to do all that while fighting against the attraction building between us because I may not be magical, but what’s happening between Gil and I sure feels like it.
About Avery Flynn
Avery Flynn is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling romance author. She has three slightly-wild children, loves a hockey-addicted husband and is desperately hoping someone invents the coffee IV drip.
She was a reader before she was a writer and hopes to always be both. She loves to write about smartass alpha heroes who are as good with a quip as they are with their *ahem* other God-given talents. Her heroines are feisty, fierce and fantastic. Brainy and brave, these ladies know how to stand on their own two feet and knock the bad guys off theirs.

My Thoughts
Avery Flynn’s Witcha Gonna Do?, the first installment in the Witchington series, is a delightfully quirky romantic comedy that breathes fresh life into the "hate-to-love" trope. Narrated with expert precision by Sarah Pesek and Adam Gold, the audiobook truly comes to life, capturing the vibrant personalities and high-stakes tension of a world where magic is everything.
The story follows Tilda, the only member of an ultra-powerful witching family born without a lick of ability. While the plot starts a bit slowly, it quickly finds its rhythm, evolving into a fast-paced and sweet adventure filled with whimsical "misfits," including a particularly memorable unicorn.
The heart of the story lies in the combustible chemistry between Tilda and her self-assured nemesis, Gil Connolly. Their banter is sharp, and the evolution of their relationship feels both earned and authentic. Despite Gil’s massive ego, his genuine protectiveness and burgeoning love for Tilda make him an easy hero to root for.
The tension reaches a boiling point when a spell gone wrong forces the non-magical Tilda to team up with the "super-hot jerk" to save her cursed family from nefarious forces. This novel is more than just a spicy romance; it is a celebration of family bonds and the strength found in being different.
Flynn crafts a world that is as funny as it is heartfelt, making it no surprise that the book earned accolades from Amazon, LibraryReads, and BuzzFeed. With its perfect blend of "witchy stuff," high-voltage attraction, and a charming cast of characters, Witcha Gonna Do? is a highly entertaining read that sets a high bar for the rest of the series.
