My Thoughts

While Dahlia struggles with a complicated relationship with her father, she finds an unexpected sanctuary in Dylan. Their connection burns fast and hard, but they soon hit a significant roadblock when family drama comes to light, turning their whirlwind romance into something strictly forbidden. Watching Dahlia grow throughout this journey is incredibly rewarding, especially as Dylan proves to be almost too good to be true. He is willing to do anything to be with her, and his adorable relationship with her daughter, Chloe, is just as moving as his devotion to Dahlia.

The story is a beautiful blend of sweet, funny, and emotional moments, fueled by entertaining family dynamics and steamy banter. Narrated flawlessly by Isabelle Ruther and Austin Stone, every emotional beat of this interconnected standalone is brought vividly to life. It is a joy to see Willow Aster master that "he falls first" energy once again; this book was beyond perfect and leaves me eager to see what’s coming next for the residents of Windy Harbor.
