Book Description

Kylie

I learned early in life that love isn’t just given, it’s earned.

Now I’ve decided love isn’t worth it.

At least that type of love.

Until him.

He was broken.

It was safe.

But then I went and did the unexpected.

I fell in love with him, knowing he would never love me back.

Knox

I thought I had it all.

I was playing hockey in the NHL.

Three beautiful kids and a wife who loved me.

Until I walked in on her in bed with my brother-in-law.

Everything I thought I had was a lie.

She was everything I thought I didn’t want, and when I least expected it.

I just hope when I finally figure it out, I haven’t lost her for good.

My Thoughts

The third installment of Natasha Madison’s addictive series, Only For Him, delivers a powerful dual-narrated experience that proves even the most bruised hearts can find a way to love again. Narrated by Gregory Salinas and Rose Dioro, this audiobook brings a raw, emotional depth to a story about healing and high-stakes attraction.

The story follows Knox, a dedicated father and NHL player whose world was shattered after discovering his wife’s betrayal with his own brother-in-law. Now navigating the complexities of divorce and co-parenting, he is determined to remain closed off, convinced that the life he once had was a lie and that love is a risk he’ll never take again.

His resolve is tested when he meets Kylie, his teammate’s sister, who has moved to town to work for her family’s foundation. Haunted by a traumatic upbringing and the belief that love is always conditional, Kylie is equally adamant about keeping her heart under lock and key. To her, falling in love only leads to a downfall she isn't ready to handle.

Their initial meeting is far from a fairytale; instead, it's a clash of wills defined by constant bickering and an "enemies-to-benefits" dynamic. Neither is willing to back down, and their sharp, sassy banter only serves to mask a simmering chemistry that neither can truly ignore. As they fight their attraction, they realize that fighting fire with fire often leads to a frighteningly real connection.

The audiobook is elevated by the performances of Gregory Salinas and Rose Dioro. Salinas perfectly captures Knox’s rugged, protective nature, while Dioro provides a beautiful, easy-to-listen-to voice for Kylie that makes her vulnerability and strength feel incredibly real. Together, they bring to life a story that is as spicy and funny as it is emotionally resonant.

Watching these two guarded souls move from fiery friction to a deep, fierce partnership is the heart of the novel. As they transition from frenemies to a couple, Madison explores the difficult journey of learning to trust after heartbreak. It is an empowering sports romance that proves sometimes the most unexpected love is the one worth fighting for.
