What begins as one night of fun with the already committed couple quickly turns into a powerful and much deeper connection.
Alex, who has always doubted her own lovability, finds herself completely drawn to the complementary dynamic of the two men. There's Gabe, the laid-back, easygoing auto mechanic, and Adam, the more intense partner who, much like Alex, is carrying the weight of a shaky past. The three of them form a bond that grows beyond all expectation, with Gabe and Adam perfectly demonstrating that a trio could share something truly special.
The central conflict beautifully explores Alex's struggle with trust, forcing her to decide if she can finally let go of her fierce independence to commit to this all-consuming new love. Having waited for Alex’s story since that fateful night in the bar, I can confidently say this book delivers; I loved how fiercely these three loved each other and how perfectly they completed one another, watching their love heal all three of them.
Proby truly is the queen of taking you on an emotional journey, breaking you down and then piecing you back together, all while keeping you captivated by every word. The audio version, narrated brilliantly by the dream team of Avery Caris, Aiden Snow, and Sean Masters, was a masterful performance that made me never want the book to end.
This book is a must-read, but I strongly recommend you grab the entire Bitterroot Valley series, starting with Book One, as it will be the best gift you give yourself.
