Chase is broody, damaged, and reclusive, having returned to his ranch after his time in the army. Now that they are neighbors, it's impossible to stay away.
Rose's son, Kyle, immediately takes to Chase and his dog, Shadow, and their bond is incredibly sweet. As Rose and Chase spend more time together, she begins to see the man hiding behind the scars.
