I was instantly hooked by this heartfelt and hilarious story. It follows Midhat Malik, a millennial whose perfect Toronto life is upended when her fiancé dumps her, sending her back to her family in Karachi. There, she’s thrown into the whirlwind of modern dating and family setups, navigating the pressures of finding "The One" from a pool of four very different bachelors.
The character development is so brilliant that I felt a real connection to everyone in the story, pulling an all-nighter just to see how it ended. For any '90s kid who loves a great romantic comedy, this book is a must-read. It perfectly captures the Pakistani-Canadian experience with a wonderful blend of humor and heart. It felt so relatable that I highly recommend you grab a copy to enjoy yourself on your next trip or just chilling by the pool on a summer day.
