The story begins with a predicament that is as relatable as it is dreadful. Olivia “Liv” Ashley must fly home for the funeral of her ex-boyfriend, a man she was with for a reason and whose eulogy she’d much rather fill with his flaws than false praise. After a travel day where everything that could possibly go wrong does, a frustrated Liv has a little too much wine and spills her entire life story to the incredibly nice, incredibly sexy man in the seat next to her. It’s a moment of pure mortification, cushioned only by the certainty that she will never see him again.
Or so she thought.
In a twist of fate, the handsome stranger from the plane, Sebastian “Ash,” reappears at the funeral.
