In Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon and Secrets, the second installment of the Bourbon Boy series, there’s one rule in Fiasco, Kentucky: never fall for a Foxx brother. Of course, as this book proves, that’s a rule you’ll be desperate to break. The audiobook experience is elevated to chef’s-kiss perfection by the flawless narration of Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks. Their performance captures every ounce of tension, angst, and swoon-worthy devotion, making this a must-listen.

Book Description

In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother.

Any woman who did, ended up dead. It wasn’t just a rumor. It was my reality. I buried my wife along with too many secrets surrounding the night she died.

Now, I’m a single dad with two priorities above everything else: raising my two girls and making great bourbon.

But when Faye Calloway returns after I ran her out of my small town—looking like a fantasy on stage and nothing like the cop she was trained to be—I know for a fact that she’s hiding more secrets than the one she blackmailed me to keep.

While everyone is focused on the teasingly beautiful burlesque dancer, I’m distracted by the woman with a hidden agenda. The smart-mouth, who says what she wants. And the instigator, who prefers a very specific way to drink her bourbon.

But as secrets begin to unravel, I realize she’s fiercely protective of the ones she loves. When she puts herself in danger to right the past, the rules stop mattering.

Only two things have the power to keep my family from falling apart and losing the woman I love—bourbon and secrets.

About Victoria Wilder

Forever a hopeful romantic, author Victoria Wilder writes contemporary romance with deliciously witty and wild characters. Her stories range from small-town swoon-worthy men to fiercely powerful families and lead characters who aren't afraid to ask for what they want.

She's an east coast girl, always chasing the next season and living it up with her husband, two kiddos, and dog, Linus. When she's not reading or writing, you'll find her training at a kickboxing class or finding an excuse to sink her feet in the sand at the beach.

She believes in the power of a great story. And that a new pair of sneakers can be just as powerful as heels to put you in the right mood.

My Thoughts

In Victoria Wilder’s Bourbon and Secrets, the second installment of the Bourbon Boy series, there’s one rule in Fiasco, Kentucky: never fall for a Foxx brother. Of course, as this book proves, that’s a rule you’ll be desperate to break. The audiobook experience is elevated to chef’s-kiss perfection by the flawless narration of Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks. Their performance captures every ounce of tension, angst, and swoon-worthy devotion, making this a must-listen.

The story centers on Lincoln Foxx, a widowed single dad whose priorities are his two young girls and the family’s bourbon distillery. His world is upended when Faye Calloway, the woman he ran out of town five years prior, returns under the guise of a beautiful burlesque dancer. But Faye isn't just back to perform; she has a hidden agenda, and Lincoln knows she’s hiding secrets that could unravel everything.

This is a single-dad romance with a suspenseful edge that will captivate anyone. Lincoln’s love for his daughters is beautiful, and his protective nature makes him an incredible hero. He’s the resident bourbon nerd, leaning into the science of his craft, but also the quiet muscle you don’t see coming. Opposite him, Faye is a total badass—easily one of the most memorable female characters to date. She is whip-smart, sexy, and takes absolutely no crap from anyone, making her the perfect match for the guarded Foxx brother.

The angst and lust between Lincoln and Faye are heavy from the start, building on a history that first sparked years ago. As they give in to their undeniable desire, they must also untangle the dangerous secrets of the past. When Faye puts herself in harm's way, all the old rules go out the window. Bourbon and Secrets is a masterful blend of smoldering romance and gripping suspense, proving that sometimes the most dangerous risks are the only ones worth taking.
