Of course, as this book proves, that’s a rule you’ll be desperate to break. The audiobook experience is elevated to chef’s-kiss perfection by the flawless narration of Lee Samuels and Megan Wicks. Their performance captures every ounce of tension, angst, and swoon-worthy devotion, making this a must-listen.
The story centers on Lincoln Foxx, a widowed single dad whose priorities are his two young girls and the family’s bourbon distillery. His world is upended when Faye Calloway, the woman he ran out of town five years prior, returns under the guise of a beautiful burlesque dancer. But Faye isn't just back to perform; she has a hidden agenda, and Lincoln knows she’s hiding secrets that could unravel everything.
