There is nothing more blissful than starting your day with a breathtaking ocean view. My personal balcony quickly became my favorite morning sanctuary. Each day, I would greet the sunrise with a hot cup of coffee in one hand and my latest page-turner in the other. The peaceful solitude, the gentle sea breeze, and the endless horizon created the perfect, uninterrupted environment to become completely absorbed in a story. It was the most indulgent and serene way to begin each day at sea.

Located on Deck 8, the Brooklyn Cafe was my go-to spot for an afternoon escape. With its lovely views, quiet corners, and a direct line to the coffee bar for endless cappuccinos, this charming cafe is a reader’s paradise. I found I wasn’t alone in this discovery; on any given day, the space was filled with the gentle hum of fellow passengers enjoying a coffee while engrossed in a book, newspaper, or crossword puzzle. It’s the ideal spot to feel part of the ship's quiet, sophisticated rhythm.

3. The Lush Escape of the Jungle Pool Lounge

For those who enjoy a bit of ambiance with their reading, the Jungle Pool Lounge is a perfect choice. This stunning glass-domed solarium offers a tropical vibe, complete with comfortable loungers, a pool, and a nearby gelato bar. I loved being able to relax with my book in this lush environment, knowing that the buffet was just a few steps away whenever I needed a snack. It’s the best of both worlds—a tranquil hideaway with easy access to delicious treats.

While I found many wonderful places to enjoy my books, these were my happy places. The best part? When I was ready to close my book, a world of exciting activities was always waiting just around the corner.
