Book Description

Callahan Hastings is relentless when it comes to getting what he wants, and what he wants is me–to be his private chef in the Hamptons for the summer.

My dream job served to me on a silver platter by one of the wealthiest members of Pembroke Hills Country Club.

The only catch? He’s my ex-boyfriend’s older brother with a reputation for being as charming as he is cunning.

But Cal doesn’t take no for an answer. He draws you in with flirty smiles and extravagant promises.

I should have seen him coming, but I didn’t. I should have stayed away, but I couldn’t.

His playful touches and burning gaze have ignited a fire in me. The more I resist him, the more irresistible he becomes.

I've always known there's an expiration date on the job–an expiration date on us.

But leaving isn't going to be easy with Cal on his knees, begging me to stay...

My Thoughts

Kat Singleton has truly outdone herself with "In Good Company," and the audiobook elevates this delightful story to a whole new level! From the moment I pressed play, I was completely immersed in the witty banter, the simmering chemistry, and the heartwarming journey of the characters.

The narrators were absolutely fantastic. They brought Callahan and Lucy to life with distinct voices and inflections that perfectly captured their personalities and emotions. This duet-style narration had me captivated. Conner Crais's voice was smooth and deep and brought depth to Callahan. While Erin Mallon voice brought sweetness and sass to Lucy, their performance made it easy to get lost in the story and feel a genuine connection to the characters.

Beyond the stellar narration, the story itself is a gem. "In Good Company" is a perfect blend of sweet and spicy with just the right amount of heart to leave you rooting for this couple. The plot was engaging, keeping me hooked and eager to find out what would happen next. The character development was excellent; I loved watching Lucy learn to let people in to help, especially Callahan, who is every girl's dream.. The dialogue was sharp and entertaining, often making me laugh out loud.

This audiobook is the perfect companion for a long commute, a relaxing evening, or any time you want to escape into a captivating and well-told story. Kat Singleton's writing shines through, and the narrators have truly brought her characters to life in a way that will leave you feeling satisfied and wanting more.

I highly, highly recommended it! A definite 5-star experience.
