My Thoughts
I discovered this book via a Facebook book club and I am so happy I did. This book was a wonderful mix of spicy and funny.
What I loved about this book was that, though it was the fourth in a series, it read as a stand-alone. I didn't know it was the fourth installment until I looked up the author, which is how well the story was written. Plus the fact that I got this book via audible had had Jacob Morgan talking in my ear sealed the deal for me.
This second chance romance was everything. It was sweet how the main male character though broken and flawed was able to step up and be the perfect boyfriend for the experiment. It was a great point made by the author that people can and sometimes do hide behind a mask.
Then with our main female character, she hid behind a mask of happiness even though she too was broken even though she did not realize it til later. Together they were perfect for each and their chemistry was amazing.
This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions from loss to heartbreak to healing and finally love. The author did a brilliant job showing all the emotions and listening to this story made it all the more poignant. I am so happy I took the chance on this book I did not regret a single moment of it. It was a well-written emotional book with characters I adored.
