Another wonderful story by K. Street. This author has a way of hitting you right in your heart.

Book Description

This wasn’t supposed to be my life.

One phone call was all it took to bring me back to the small town I had grown up in. Everything had changed, and staying away was no longer an option.

Four and a half years later, I was a widowed single father still here, still trying to pick up the pieces. We were doing just fine on our own, my little girl and me.

At least, we were until Camryn Parker stumbled into our lives. The woman was like a tornado after a hurricane; she was the storm I never saw approaching. Behind her beauty and sarcastic wit, she was just as broken as I pretended not to be. As hard as I tried to resist, it was impossible not to fall in love with her.

In the end, it took nearly losing it all for me to realize everything I never wanted was exactly what I needed.

About K. Street

K. Street has been making up stories since she was old enough to talk and began writing at the tender age of eleven. She resides in central Florida with her husband and daughter. Her affinity for coffee, sweet red wine, dark chocolate and hockey runs deep.

When K isn't working or writing she enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with her family and cheering on her beloved Chicago Blackhawks.

MyThoughts

Sometimes you need a sweet, simple love story with a little spice and a twist. K. Street knows how to give you just that.

This sweet love story was about family secrets, heartbreak, healing, and forgiveness.

Camryn was hurt and abandoned as a child she grew up as an only child raised by her father. When he passes Camryn decides to start life over in a new town she never dreamed it would bring her the love she craved and the family she always wanted.

Tucker has also been hurt and has made it his top priority to love and protect Shayne, his daughter from the past. She is the daughter he never knew he wanted. Then Camryn walks in, and everything changes. She makes Tucker want to love again, but can he risk not only his heart but his daughter's?

I loved this story because it was so simple and sweet. You had two people who both have been hurt willing to open up again to each other. I also loved that their connection came from their love of a little girl. Sayne is such a beautiful little girl you couldn't help but love her and root for her to get a complete family.

Though this story did not have a ton of drama it did have a family secret and a twist. It also has spice. I felt K. Street did a fabulous job bringing us a simple love story about healing, forgiveness and ultimately finding true love that could stand the test of time. I love the story and am so happy I took the time to read it.
