My Thoughts

I met Nancy a few years back when we were both at an event for Disney World. She and her family were there as was I to enjoy some magic shared by Disney. We would run into each other a few more times over the next year and become online friends.

when she asked me to take I look at her new cookbook I was super excited and so honored that she would ask me. I knew from following her on social media and being a fan of her website that food and cooking were a huge part of her life. What I didn't know was what a wonderful teacher she was.

As I dived into this cookbook I was so amazed at all the information it gave along with the delicious recipes. The book lays down a strong foundation in the fundamental workings of a kitchen. It teaches kids the basic things they need to know to cook and then builds on that.

Along with the foundation, it comes with 50 easy recipes to get your kids started in the kitchen.

Throughout the book, there are full-color photos showing some of the recipes and skills taught in the book such as dicing and measuring. This is the cookbook I wish I had as a child learning to cook or even had when getting my son in the kitchen at a young age. It is the perfect book for getting your young chef involved in the cooking process and teaching them to make simple meals for themselves.

One of my favorite things about the book is the little yellow highlighted parts. Nancy has taken the time and care to give you these little nuggets of information. They include helpful tips, hints, and ideas for adding flavor and depth to the recipe.

In truth, this book taught me a thing or two I didn't know before or an easier way of doing something. I really enjoyed the book and have been using it to teach my niece how to cook.

This book is a wonderful cookbook to share with your kids and grandkids. Plus a great way to make memories in the kitchen while making some delicious food together as a family.
