I recently discovered Piper Davenport as an author when I was gifted on of her books. I immediately took to her writing and was excited to read the second book in this series.

My Thoughts

Having gotten to know a little about Pepper and Connall from the first book in this series Bound By Blood I was excited to read about their love story. 

Picking up kind of where the first book left off we get to know a little more about Pepper and her childhood. We also learn why she has been sounding kind of off when talking with her best friend Sam. When Pepper first walks into the hotel where Sam is staying till the wedding she is instantly taken by Connall. Connall realizes in a moment that he has met his mate. 

Pepper doesn't know how to handle Connall with everything happening in her life at the moment but Connall is patient and loving. I admit I may have swooned a little over Connall and his ability to take care of Pepper.

Piper has done it again with this second installment of the Cauld Ane Series. I do believe I am completely in love with immortal Vikings. This book is on that you will want to read again and again curled up in your favorite reading nook. 

I highly recommend it.
